Food Startup Operations Manager

We are premium fast-growing food cart and franchise brand launching in Southern California, focused on high-quality cheese bread snack products with national expansion vision.

We are seeking an experienced Food Operations Manager to help launch and scale our mobile food cart and catering operations. This role will oversee operational setup, kitchen coordination, supplier sourcing, staffing support, and launch preparation.

This is a unique opportunity to join early-stage brand with strong expansion and franchise potential.

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate setup and production of branded food carts
• Work with commissary kitchen and manage production workflow
• Assist in hiring and onboarding prep cooks and cart operators
• Source and manage food suppliers and packaging vendors
• Help coordinate Riverside and Los Angeles County permits and approvals
• Develop and document operational procedures
• Support initial product rollout and launch
• Ensure operational efficiency and scalability

Required Experience

Candidates must have experience in at least ONE of the following:

• Food truck operations management
• Restaurant operations management
• Catering operations
• Mobile food business operations
• Restaurant kitchen management
• Food startup operations
• Experience working with commissary kitchens strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience launching new food locations or food trucks
• Experience with California health department requirements
• Experience managing suppliers and food logistics
• Experience hiring and managing kitchen staff
• Experience working in fast casual or quick-service restaurant environment
