Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director / Internal or Family Medicine Physician to join our leadership team in Riverside, CA. This on-site role blends hands-on clinical care with strategic and administrative oversight, supporting utilization management, quality initiatives, and provider collaboration to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care delivery.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR

Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight aligned with organizational goals
• Participate in utilization-related activities, including review of referrals, diagnostics, and treatment plans for medical necessity
• Serve as a clinical resource to providers and staff regarding care pathways and guidelines
• Support compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives
• Identify trends related to quality of care, utilization, or operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with administrative leadership to enhance workflows and care coordination

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active and unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment with leadership and decision-making capabilities

Compensation & Benefits Package

• $300,000 Annual Base Salary
• $48,000 Productivity Bonus
