12hr shifts, 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am

$35hr to $45hr depending on experience

Skilled nursing facility in Moreno valley is seeking LVNs to join their team.

Summary: The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN provides nursing care to patients of all ages; from pediatric to geriatric, within the LVN scope of practices – as delegated by the RN.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for designated patients.
• Provides Nursing Care to all patients of all ages.
• Identifies self as nurse responsible patient care to patients, family and physicians.
• Provides nursing care for all patients within scope of LVN practice.
• Gathers data relevant to the patient’s individual needs and age group.
• Assists the RN in patient and family education

Qualifications

• Must be currently registered with California Board of Vocational Nursing and be certified to start
• IV’s and administer medications.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Previous experience as an LVN in an acute general hospital is desirable.
• Must present a professional demeanor.
• Must have good interpersonal skills.
• Must maintain a calm and reasonable attitude during crisis and conflict.
• Must demonstrate initiative and good judgment.
• Must respond appropriately to routine and emergency situations.
• Must be able to set and revise priorities based on changes in the situation.
• Furthers his/her education by attending in-service classes, staff meetings, continuing education classes and reading of current professional material.
