As a Master Electrician, you will play a crucial role in our operations, responsible for various maintenance and construction activities across all voltage levels (up to 345kV) for substations and transmission lines. We seek a skilled and dedicated individual who will also work towards becoming our Master Electrician of Record in multiple states.
- Possess or pursue Master Electrician licenses across various jurisdictions and act as the Master Electrician of Record for our Electrical Contractor's Licenses.
- Supervise maintenance and construction of electrical collection systems, addressing tasks such as underground cable faults, pad-mount transformers, switchgears, splices, and wiring up to 34.5kV, including substation riser terminations and testing of HV, MV, and LV cables.
- Lead, train, and guide a team of 3-5 crew members on safe work practices related to assigned tasks.
- Manage substation switching and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Troubleshoot and test various electrical components and systems.
- Oversee maintenance services on underground collection systems and fiber optic sensing and control systems.
- Replace damaged or incorrect components as needed.
- Uphold and promote compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all electrical units at the job site.
- Conduct scheduled checks to identify any malfunctions.
- Ensure the correct use and handling of electrical testing and repair equipment.
- Complete all tasks as assigned by your supervising manager and maintain a detailed log of electrical repairs and maintenance work.
