A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a diverse K-12 student population in Riverside and Chino, CA. This full-time, contract position offers a chance to work with a mixed caseload, providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment throughout the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with varying needs in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to create and implement effective treatment plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning focused on student success
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of students across different grade levels
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working within a school or healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to manage a mixed caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Commitment to fostering a positive educational environment supportive of all learners
